Walsall Talking Therapies Service
The Walsall Talking Therapies Service supports people with depression and anxiety symptoms aged 17 and over who are registered with a Walsall GP. They offer a variety of treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing and guided self-help. Walsall Bereavement Support Service
The Walsall Bereavement Support Service is a local charity providing specialist bereavement support to Walsall residents of any age. They offer an adult bereavement service called ‘Let’s Talk’ and a children and young persons bereavement service called ‘The Swing’. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy service assesses and treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions through the use of manual, electro-therapeutic and exercise therapy alongside chronic management programmes.
These techniques aid the recovery of patients with the ultimate aim of returning full function back to patients or to enable them to live with long-term chronic conditions. This service also provides exercise classes for shoulder, back, lower limb and osteoarthritis knee patients to continue their rehabilitation process. Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS)
Community Pharmacists are qualified to treat a variety of minor ailments and can help you get the help you need without waiting for a GP appointment. Patients can attend a local pharmacy without an appointment and have a consultation with the pharmacist in a private consultation room for a variety of minor ailments including conjunctivitis, athletes foot, insect bites, cold and flu, heartburn, allergies and hayfever, and oral thrush. Some local pharmacies can also supply antibiotics for uncomplicated UTI’s for women aged 16 to 64. Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS)
The minor eye conditions service provides assessment and treatment for recently occurring minor eye problems such as red eyes or eyelids, eye irritation and inflammation, ingrowing eyelashes, recent and sudden loss of vision. The service is available for people of all ages but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. One You Walsall offer a variety of services to help people improve their health and wellbeing. They offer support in weight management, exercise, stopping smoking, emotional wellbeing and more. Walsall Integrated Sexual Health (WiSH) Clinic
Walsall integrated sexual health offer advice and treatment to Walsall residents for Sexually transmitted infections (STI’s), contraception, pregnancy and sexual assault. They also offer Home testing kits for STI’s and HIV for people aged over 16 with a UK mobile and postcode who do not have symptoms of an STI. The Beacon
The beacon offers support for people struggling with drinking or drug use. They offer a free needle exchange service and help people reduce or stop their alcohol and drug use. As well as their adult service, they also provide support to young people aged 10 to 18.
